1. What Cookies Are

Small text files stored on your device when you visit a website, used to make the site function, remember your preferences, or understand how the site is used.

2. Essential Cookies

Required for the website to function — for example, keeping items in your cart/quote list as you browse, keeping you logged into a trade or customer account, and remembering your cookie-consent choice itself. Essential cookies cannot be switched off, as doing so would prevent core site functionality (checkout, account login) from working.

3. Analytics Cookies

Used to understand how visitors use the site (which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, general usage patterns) so we can improve the catalogue, navigation and checkout experience. Analytics cookies are set only with your consent, and you can withdraw consent at any time (Section 5).

4. Marketing Cookies

If used, marketing cookies would support features such as remembering that you've seen a promotional banner, or (if introduced later) retargeting/advertising cookies. At present, Helionis Limited does not run advertising retargeting campaigns using cookies — this section will be updated if that changes, rather than describing a capability that doesn't yet exist.

5. Consent

On your first visit, a cookie banner asks you to accept or decline non-essential (analytics/marketing) cookies. Your choice is remembered via an essential cookie so you're not asked again on every visit, until you clear your browser's stored data or explicitly change your preference.

6. Withdrawing Consent

You can withdraw cookie consent at any time by:

• Using the cookie preference link in the website footer (once implemented — see developer note below), or
• Clearing cookies for this site in your browser settings, which resets your consent status so you're prompted again on your next visit.

7. Managing Cookies via Your Browser

All major browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies through their settings menu. Blocking essential cookies through browser settings (rather than our cookie banner) may break checkout, login, or cart/quote functionality — this is a browser-level limitation, not something Helionis Limited controls.

8. Third-Party Services

Where we use third-party services that set their own cookies (payment processor at checkout, any embedded map or video, analytics provider), those cookies are governed by the third party's own cookie/privacy policy in addition to this page. We link to the relevant third party's policy where one of these services is active on the site.
